Can I buy insurance if I'm already abroad?

Yes โ€” you can purchase from anywhere in the world, even if you're already traveling. There's a 3-day waiting period for sickness claims (not accidents) if you're already abroad, but coverage starts immediately for emergencies.
Does it cover pre-existing conditions?

Pre-existing conditions are generally excluded. However, Nomad Complete includes a stability clause โ€” conditions stable for 180+ consecutive days may qualify under certain plan configurations. Contact us to review your specific situation.
Can I add family members to my plan?

Absolutely. Add a spouse, partner, or children during checkout or any time from your account dashboard. Children under 10 travel free when a parent is insured. Each additional adult is billed at the same standard rate.
Is the United States covered?
+
US coverage is available for non-US citizens and permanent residents visiting the US. For US citizens and permanent residents, US coverage is available as a paid add-on on our Complete plan for up to 30 days per year.
How do I submit a claim?

Through our mobile app or web portal โ€” take photos of your medical receipts and any relevant documents, answer a few guided questions, and submit. Most claims are reviewed within 48 hours and payment is sent directly to your bank account.
Can I pause or cancel my subscription?

Yes, anytime. Cancel before your next billing cycle to avoid charges. You can also pause coverage when you return home and restart it the moment you leave again โ€” your profile and history are saved.
